WAITRESS
(Mainstage, January 24 – February 9) The Playhouse is proud to present the Tony-nominated smash hit, Waitress! Featuring memorable music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles, Jenna, a waitress (and expert pie-maker) dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. A county baking contest — and a handsome new doctor — offer her a tempting recipe for happiness. Supported by her sweet and sassy crew of fellow waitresses and customers, Jenna’s tale reveals the power of friendship and the courage to take chances. Adapted from the 2007 film, it’s a satisfying celebration of friendship, motherhood and the magic of a homemade pie.
PETE THE CAT
(Youtheatre, March 7 -16) Youtheatre at the Erie Playhouse presents this hilarious, toe-tapping musical based on the hit children’s series featuring Pete, the groovy, guitar-playing cat. Meet Pete. He’s one groovy, guitar-playing cat, who likes his music cool and his coffee sweet. When Pete moves in with the Biddles, Jimmy—the most organized second grader on earth—is unsure of this cat’s antics and laid-back ‘tude. But when he draws a blank in art class, Pete’s the perfect pal to lead the mission to help Jimmy find his inspiration. Board the VW bus for a trip around the globe with Pete, Jimmy and friends in this hilarious, toe-tapping musical! Based on the Pete the Cat series of books by Kimberly and James Dean.

Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as two young men, raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever. The Playhouse is proud to present the northwest Pennsylvania premiere of The Prince of Egypt.
THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH JR.
(Youtheatre, May 9 – 18) Norton Juster’s beloved children’s book, The Phantom Tollbooth JR., is adapted for the stage in this modern tale of a boy who must save the princesses Rhyme and Reason and reunite the brother Kings who rule over the cities of Dictionopolis and Digitopolis. Aided by a trusty time-keeping dog, Tock, Milo successfully brings harmony to the Land of Wisdom, finding that everything we learn has a purpose and whatever we do affects everything and everyone. There is never a reason to be bored in a world full of so many things to discover!
THE DA VINCI CODE
(Mainstage, June 13 – 29) Based on Dan Brown’s worldwide bestselling novel, with over 100 million copies sold, unlock the secrets of The Da Vinci Code in the northwest Pennsylvania premiere of this international phenomenon and uncover the truth behind the greatest mystery of the last 2000 years. Professor Robert Langdon and Cryptologist Sophie Neveu are in an epic race against time to solve a murder and unlock the secrets of the Holy Grail. The pair must decipher a labyrinthine code before a shocking historical secret is lost forever.
CATS
(Mainstage, July 25 – August 10) Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical spectacular that has captivated audiences all over the world returns to the Playhouse in a production sure to dazzle old and young alike. MY FAIR LADY
(Mainstage, September 12 – 28) The timeless, Tony Award-Winning classic My Fair Lady returns to the Playhouse stage in a sumptuous production that is sure to be just “Loverly.” Based on the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw, it’s the story of Eliza Doolittle, a cockney flower girl caught in the middle of a bet between Henry Higgins, a professor of phonetics, and Colonel Pickering, a fellow linguist. With unforgettable songs such as “On the Street Where You Live,” “I Could Have Danced All Night” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?” My Fair Lady is one of the most beloved musicals of all time.
THE ELEPHANT MAN
(Mainstage, October 10 – 26) The Tony Award®-winning The Elephant Man is based on the life of John Merrick, a horribly deformed young man, victim of rare skin and bone diseases, who has become the star freak attraction in traveling side shows. Found abandoned and helpless, he is admitted to London’s prestigious Whitechapel hospital. Under the care of celebrated young physician Frederick Treves, Merrick is introduced to London society and slowly evolves from an object of pity to an urbane and witty favorite of the aristocracy and literati only to be denied his ultimate dream, to become a man like any other.

Emma, a senior at Highbury Prep, is certain she knows what’s best for her classmates’ love lives, and is determined to find the perfect boyfriend for shy sophomore Harriet by the end of the school year. But will Emma’s relentless matchmaking get in the way of finding her own happiness?
