It's an exciting time at the Orleans Chamber of Commerce.
By now some of you have heard, that in early January our Executive Director, Lisa Simundson, made the decision to move on to her next adventure. The entire Board of Directors thanks her for all that she's done for the Chamber and wishes her the best in this next phase of her career.
While we were sad to see her go, we view this as an exciting time as we continue to shape and grow the Orleans Chamber of Commerce. With that in mind, we didn't rush to post the job, but rather took some time to revisit the organization and the position. We now have posted the Executive Director position, and you can find that job posting here.
In the interim, we've hired Mainsail Events and Marketing, a local consulting firm, to help guide us into our next chapter. You can read more about Mainsail below, but we're pleased to say that since mid-January, while we are in this interim period, we have continued to service our membership and expand our offerings. We have hosted a monthly morning Business Roundtable and a monthly Business After Hours with several more planned for the spring. We are also well into the production of the “Truly Orleans” magazine and are ready to launch an entirely new signature event for the town called “Boards in the Stores.”
Once again, I believe this is an exciting time and fantastic opportunity to energize the local business community through the Orleans Chamber of Commerce. I thank you for your continued support.
