From: Artisans at the Dahmen BarnDavid Hoyt has been selling his cards and canvas print at the barn since 2022, his beautiful colorful images have been popular with customers, this is your chance to see a diverse collection of his digital artwork themed around local landscapes, floral and animals and insects of the Palouse.
David has served in various capacities as a graphic designer, illustrator, web designer, and art director, and maintains a freelance business, Red Anvil Design Works. As an educator, he has presented graphic design issues, taught at the college level, and served as a curriculum advisor at the high school level. His graphic design and illustration work has been recognized for excellence by a diverse list of professional organizations.
As an artist, he is currently concentrating on creating digital artwork, focusing on nature subjects (animals, insects, local landmarks), as well as railroad themes.
His volunteer service includes the Pullman Arts Commission, Pullman Civic Trust, Whitman County Blue Ribbon Task Committee, Palouse Clearwater Environmental Institute, Pullman Depot Heritage Center, and Friends of the WSU Museum of Art..
When not at the computer David can be found playing music and he has performed in local bands for several decades as well as touring professionally with Wylie and the Wild West. In 2013 David was recognized for his artistic/civic contributions, receiving the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Art, from the City of Pullman/Pullman Chamber of Commerce.
