From: New Hampshire Governor Kelly AyotteConcord, N.H. – On March 25th, Governor Kelly Ayotte signed House Bill 592 to end the failed bail reform social experiment in New Hampshire.
Governor Ayotte released the following statement after signing HB-592 into law alongside members of the New Hampshire House and Senate, mayors on both sides of the aisle, county sheriffs, and dozens of law enforcement leaders from across our state:
“The broken bail law was a failed social experiment that created a revolving door for violent criminals in our state. On March 25th, we slammed that revolving door shut.
“I was proud to sign this bill into law alongside leaders from both parties and members of our law enforcement community. I thank everyone who helped get this across the finish line, and I look forward to continuing to work together to keep our state the safest in the nation.”
