From: Fall Color FestivalFall is an exciting season at The Morton Arboretum and a favorite time for many who visit. Guests from far and wide are drawn to the Arboretum to savor the magic of the season as the leaves slowly turn into a symphony of color.

The season kicked off with the annual Fall Color 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, October 7. Participants followed a scenic, rolling course through the Arboretum’s East Side.
On Thursday, September 28, guests were invited to sip and sample local wines during the Fall Color Wine Tasting. Vendors were located throughout Arbor Court and in the Arboretum’s newest attraction, The Gerard T. Donnelly Grand Garden.
Guests and members enjoyed marvelous, one-of-a-kind glass creations at the 13th annual Glass Pumpkin Patch, Thursday, October 12 through Sunday, October 15.
Sample ciders and seasonal beers amid rich fall colors at the Cider and Ale Festival on Saturday, October 21.
Walk alongside an acting troupe and follow the action of classic literary tales, such as Anne of Green Gables, performed live throughout 1,700 acres of colorful trees and beautiful landscapes in the Arboretum's Walking Plays series. Performances take place each weekend in October.
Stroll the path along Meadow Lake throughout October to see the friendly faces of the Scarecrow Trail, enjoy scarecrows handmade by local scout troops and schools, and cast your vote for the winning designs.
Treat yourself to special culinary offerings with delightful seasonal specialties available in Arbor Court each weekend throughout the month.
Hop on a guided tram tour and enjoy a one-hour guided tour that winds you through the Arboretum’s woodlands, wetlands, prairie, and changing colors.
Bring your favorite canine to the Arboretum to enjoy the seasonal changes at the upcoming Dog Admission Day on Sunday, November 5.
