5 - 7:30 pm : Festival at Night

Kick off your holiday season and enjoy the Festival of Trees in a traditional way!  The Gallagher Bluedorn will be fabulously transformed for the Festival at Night event, an after-hours event just for individuals age 21 and older, that features live music, drinks and appetizers.

November 15, 2023

5- 7:30 pm : Girls Night Out

Shop and enjoy the holiday trees and displays. Vendors will be on hand selling items such as jewelry, clothing, and home goods. Charcuterie boards have become increasingly popular. Learn how to put one together. Purchase a charcuterie demo, create a board from Hy-Vee and take it home with you at the end of the night.

9- 11:00 am : Veterans' Holiday Breakfast and Program - Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center Lobby

A delicious breakfast held to honor and thank our Cedar Valley Veterans and their families.  Please join us as we listen to empowering stories from local Vet’s and witness a swearing in of new cadets with the UNI ROTC program.

12:30- 4:30 pm : Games in the Trees - Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center Lobby

Like to play cards or games?  This event will bring out card tables to the GBPAC lobby space in and around the trees.  What a wonderful environment for playing a game of cribbage with the gals, bridge, pinochle, or even Monopoly or Yahtzee.  Desserts, snacks and coffee will be included, and an enjoyable afternoon will be had by all.

11 am to 1:30 pm : Love Makes a Traditional Luncheon

Families make traditions, but what makes a family? Join us for a heartwarming luncheon as we enjoy a fashion show like you have never experienced! You won’t want to miss this unique and moving event!If you bring a pair of children’s pjs you will be put in a raffle drawing. PJs will be donated to Kaden’s Kloset.

9 - 11 a.m : Santa’s Workshop - Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center Lobby

2- 4:00 pm : Art in the Trees - Davis Hall

Join artist Janae Peterson to create 4 wooden ornaments around the "Holiday Traditions" theme for our 35th Festival of Trees! Janae will lead us step-by-step to create beautiful ornaments you will be proud to display for years to come! Christmas trivia and a light snack will also be included throughout the event.

November 19, 2023

1- 2:30 pm : Teddy Bear Tea

This delightful setting will offer guests a light snack, a magician performance, and a very special visit from Jolly Old Saint Nick himself.  Each child will leave with their own Teddy Bear.
