PIERRE, S.D. – On April 26th, Governor Larry Rhoden ordered that flags be raised to full staff statewide after sunset on April 26, 2025, following the interment of His Holiness Pope Francis. Flags were initially lowered as a mark of respect for the memory of Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21, 2025.
