Join us for an evening with William Christie: harpsichordist, conductor, and founder of the world-renowned baroque-music ensemble Les Arts Florissants.
The evening will begin with Jarmila Buzková's documentary, The Art of Giving, which shadows Juilliard students training under the guidance of Christie at the Académie du Jardin des Voix in France. Following the film, William Christie and violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte will perform excerpts from beloved sonatas by Handel and Corelli, amongst others—a preview of their upcoming Carnegie Hall performance. The performance will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with Christie and de Swarte, moderated by Karin Brookes from Juilliard.
