GCLER Announces Newly Elected Board of Directors and new Artistic Director

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Grupo Cultural Latinos en Rochester, Inc. is pleased to announce the election of a new board of directors for two-year terms.

Nathalia Lauer has been elected as board president, with Henry Ignacio Padrón-Morales as vice president. Livia Sales-Genovez will serve as treasurer, Indira Danner as secretary, and Evelyn D'Agostino will oversee events and volunteers. Carlos Chediak will lead community outreach and marketing, while Sol Del Carpio will be the artistic director.

Natalia Lauer, an Afro-Latina and proud LGBTQ+ member, is a Dominican-American photographer with a background in civic engagement and equity. Since moving to Rochester in 2021, she has volunteered with GCLER, contributing to advocacy and event planning. Her photography focuses on identity, representation, and love, and she is committed to creating inclusive spaces.

Sol Del Carpio, also known as Marysol Del Carpio, is a teaching artist with expertise in classical dance and physical theatre. Sol's diverse career also includes significant contributions to theatre and television productions, showcasing her versatility and commitment to the performing arts, and she has a track record of working with diverse learners, including those with developmental delays.
