WHAT: This week marks one year since Dr. Whitney Oakley took the helm of Guilford County Schools (GCS). She is the first GCS superintendent from Guilford County, and throughout the year has led numerous charges to support and advance the district.

On Friday, Sept. 1, Dr. Oakley will announce new GCS partnerships and program expansions and reflect on her journey as Superintendent.
