Genrose Insurance and Make-A-Wish® Arizona Receive $10,000 Through Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® 2025 Make More Happen™ Awards 

Community Supporters Helped Double the Donation by Voting for Their Agent Giving Story 

Thanks to the support of the community, Genrose Insurance has officially awarded a $10,000 donation to Make-A-Wish® Arizona, a nonprofit organization dedicated to granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. 

Michael Monteleone, the agency principal at Genrose Insurance and former child leukemia survivor and Wish Kid, has been a Make-A-Wish® Arizona volunteer wish granter for 15 years. He has helped create magical moments for Wish Kids, from building a sensory playhouse to organizing airport sendoffs trips to see Alaskan glaciers and Broadway shows. Genrose Insurance employees and clients actively support Make-A-Wish® Arizona through blood donations, fundraisers and financial contributions. Recently, Genrose Insurance hosted a Wine and Wishes event at the historic Parsons Wish House, where attendees could learn about the first wish granted in Arizona 45 years ago and how Make-A-Wish® Arizona supports both kids and families affected by critical illnesses. 

Initially, Genrose Insurance received a $5,000 donation for Make-A-Wish® Arizona through the 2025 Make More Happen™ Awards by Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance®. A story showcasing the partnership was featured on the official Make More Happen microsite, where community members had the chance to vote and leave comments. Upon reaching the goal of 500 votes and comments, the donation was doubled to $10,000. 

“Recognizing independent agents’ dedication to their communities and nonprofit partners is what the Make More Happen Awards are all about,” said David Butler, Liberty Mutual Senior Territory Manager. “Genrose Insurance is an outstanding example of how agencies can make a real difference, and we hope sharing their story inspires others to give back as well.” 

Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent insurance agencies nationwide for a 2025 Make More Happen Award, contributing up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support.
