The Library will be closed on Monday, October 9 in observance of the holiday. The Library will reopen on Tuesday, October 10 at 10AM.
Upcoming Events
Baby and Toddler Storytime
Tuesdays 10AM-10:30AM
Ages birth to 2 1/2 years
Program will include two to three books, songs, finger-plays, and circle games. Siblings are welcome. Families are welcome to stay and play afterwards.
Family Outdoor Story Time
Fridays 10AM-10:30AM
While the weather is still nice we will offer Storytime on the lawn for families of all ages. If the weather does not cooperate the program will be brought inside the meeting room. Bring something to sit on and sit back and enjoy the stories and activities.
Saturday Family Storytime
Saturday, October 7 10AM-10:30AM
Families are invited to a Saturday morning Storytime. The program will include 3 to 4 books, rhymes and songs, and a craft or activity. This program is for all ages.
Play Group
Thursdays, October 12 & 26 at 10AM
Families are invited to the library to play and explore with toys and everyday materials.
All ages are welcome, keep in mind there may be some small parts.
LEGO Build
Friday, October 20 3PM-4:30PM
Do you love to build? Families are invited to drop in to build with LEGO’s and maybe other building materials. A new building challenge will be available every program, but you are free to build what you want.
Teen Event: Dungeons & Dragons
For those in grades 7-12!
Wednesdays, October 11 and 25 at 3PM
Join us for adventure! Everything you need to play is provided, all you have to do is show up. All skill levels are welcome. Max 8 players per session, first come, first served.
Teen Goat Hangout
For those in grades 7-12!

Goats to Go is bringing some adorable goats to our lawn to meet you!

Come hang as we turn the Library into a gaming paradise! There’s nothing quite like playing the Switch on our giant projector screen!
Pajama Story Time
Wednesday, October 18 at 6:45PM
Come to a pajama story time at the library. Books, songs and a quiet activity will be provided. Wearing pajamas is encouraged. This program is for all ages.
Teen Event: Crafternoon
For those in grades 7-12!
Thursday, October 19 at 3PM
Sew and paint your own little monster to delight and terrify your friends! We’ll provide everything you need and you can either hang out and craft with us or take your craft to go.
Reading to a Library Dog
Monday, October 23 at 4PM
Come and read to Aston, a certified therapy dog. Registration is required. This program is designed to help develop reading skills and is recommended for children who want to practice their reading fluency.
Knock on Wood Concert
Wednesday, October 25 at 6:30PM
All ages are welcome!
Knock on Wood is a high-energy acoustic folk-rock duo, featuring singer-songwriter Howie Newman. Combining acoustic guitar with fiddle, mandolin and pleasing vocal harmonies, the duo performs Classic Rock covers and funny original music (suitable for all ages). It’s a family-friendly concert that may include a few children’s songs and music for senior citizens.
Teen Event: Painting Happy Lil Minis
For those in grades 7-12!
Wednesday, October 26 at 3PM
Join Kyle as he teaches you how to paint your own warrior of the chaos wastelands! We’ll provide everything you need and everyone gets to keep their work!
Reading to a Library Dog

Beginner Book Club
Monday, October 10 at 4PM
For anyone in Kindergarten – 2nd grade. Join us for a book discussion and questions, along with jokes, riddles, and a craft! The book will be provided and read together (independent reading skills are not required). Registration is required.
MCBA Book Club
Tuesday, October 24 at 4PM
For students in 4th – 6th grade. Popcorn, book discussion, and a related activity will be offered. Once the book is announced, it will be available to borrow at the library. Registration is required.

Our book discussions for adults will resume in November.
Georgetown's Got Talent! (Local Author Event)
Saturday, October 14 at 10AM
Come meet authors from Georgetown and nearby! Authors will talk about and sell their books during this event. Hosted by the Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library. Refreshments will be served.
