Colorado Civil Rights Commission
The Colorado Civil Rights Commission investigates complaints and conducts hearings concerning alleged discrimination in employment, apprenticeship programs, on-the-job training, and vocational schools. The commission also investigates the existence of discriminatory or unfair employment practices by a person, employment agency, labor organization, or vocational school. It is also charged with the promotion of good will and cooperation among various racial, religious, and ethnic groups in the state.

Colorado Dental Board
The Colorado Dental Board makes rules and regulations, examines and licenses dentists and dental hygienists, and conducts hearings regarding the suspension or revocation of licenses.

The Colorado Option Advisory Board advises Colorado Division of Insurance on the implementation and operation of the Colorado Option, a standardized health insurance plan designated to improve access, affordability, and equity in healthcare.

Colorado Water Conservation Board
The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) was created in 1937 for the purpose of aiding in the protection and development of the waters of the state. The agency is responsible for water project planning and finance, stream and lake protection, flood hazard identification and mitigation, weather modification, river restoration, water conservation and drought planning, water information, and water supply protection.

Coroners Standards and Training Board
The Coroners Standards and Training Board duties include developing a curriculum for a forty-hour training course for new coroners and approving the qualifications of the instructors who teach the course; approving training providers to certify coroners in basic medical-legal death investigation; and approving training providers and programs used to fulfill the annual sixteen-hour in-service training requirement.

Health Insurance Affordability Enterprise Board
The Colorado Health Insurance Affordability Enterprise Board administers a health insurance affordability fee on certain insurers and a special assessment on hospitals to fund measures aimed at reducing consumer costs for individual health coverage plans.

Judicial Nominating Commissions
There is a judicial district nominating commission for each of Colorado’s 23 judicial districts that select nominees for district and county judicial vacancies. Each district nominating commission is chaired by a justice of the Supreme Court, who is a non-voting member of the commission. Attorney appointments are a joint appointment by the Governor, Chief Justice, and Attorney General.

Local Government Limited Gaming Impact Fund Advisory Committee
The board works to establish standardized methodology and criteria for documenting, measuring, assessing and reporting of gaming impacts upon eligible local government entities. The board will also make funding recommendations to the Executive Director of the Dept. of Local Affairs.

The board meets to carry on a continuing review of the problems of mining and land reclamation in Colorado.

State Board of Human Services
The State Board of Human Services adopts policies, rules and regulations for the administration of the Department of Human Services. The Board adjusts the minimum award for old age pensions for changes in the cost of living. The Board also adopts rules and regulations concerning foster care and adoption procedures, mental health programs, alcohol and drug abuse programs and developmental disabilities programs.

The Board examines and licenses electricians. The board also adopts and revises rules and regulations concerning the installation, repair and alteration of wiring apparatus and equipment for electric light, heat and power.

The Colorado State Housing Board, part of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), advises the General Assembly, Governor, and the Division of Housing on housing needs, reviews financing requests, and establishes regulations for factory-built structures and multifamily housing in counties without building code

State Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Program Council
The Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Advisory Council advises the Division of Criminal Justice and the Governor on matters pertaining to juvenile justice in Colorado. They also assist, review and approve the annual Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Plan.

Water Quality Control Commission
The Commission is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive and effective program for prevention, control and abatement of water pollution of the waters throughout the entire State.
