Commission on Judicial Discipline
The Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline investigates complaints of judicial misconduct. Following the passage of Amendment H, the Commission now serves as the independent investigative and prosecutorial body for judicial discipline matters, with adjudication handled separately by the newly established Adjudicative Board.

The mission of the Institute Board shall be to foster high-quality public school choices offered through institute charter schools, including particularly schools for at-risk students.

The Child Protection Ombudsman Board oversees decisions related to the Office of the Child Protection Ombudsman, including personnel decisions, accountability and consistency in operating policies and procedures, and fiscal oversight of the general operating budget.

Colorado Educational and Cultural Facilities Authority Board of Directors
The Authority issues bonds to provide affordable financing for educational and cultural buildings and equipment owned by non-profit institutions.

The Colorado Wildlife Habitat Stamp Committee shall annually review proposed projects for expenditure of Colorado wildlife habitat stamp funds and make recommendations to the director and the wildlife commission.

Ground Water Commission
The Commission determines the boundaries of designated ground water basins by geographic description and considers well permit applications for persons desiring to appropriate designated ground water for beneficial use. The Commission is responsible for the development of policies and procedures for maximum economic development, as well as the protection of the vested rights of the designated ground water basins of the state.

Judicial Nominating Commissions
There is a judicial district nominating commission for each of Colorado’s 23 judicial districts that select nominees for district and county judicial vacancies. Each district nominating commission is chaired by a justice of the Supreme Court, who is a non-voting member of the commission. Attorney appointments are a joint appointment by the Governor, Chief Justice, and Attorney General.

State Agricultural Commission
The Commission formulates policy with respect to the management of the Department of Agriculture. The Commission also advises and makes recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly.

State Board of Chiropractic Examiners
The State Board of Chiropractic Examiners is responsible for making rules and regulations dealing with the Chiropractic Profession in Colorado. It also grants licenses to qualified applicants, approves chiropractic schools and conducts hearings when necessary.

State Board of Land Commissioners
The State Board of Land Commissioners manages an endowment of assets held in perpetual, intergenerational public trusts for the financial support of Colorado’s public schools and other public institutions.

The State Board of Nursing examines and licenses registered and practical nurses. It approves nursing programs and standards, and investigates complaints filed against nurses.

The State Board of Optometry sets rules and regulations for administering examinations and conducts hearings to revoke, suspend, deny or reissue licenses.

The State Board of Pharmacy examines applicants, holds disciplinary hearings to issue and revoke pharmaceutical licenses and inspects pharmacies.

The State Board of Psychologist Examiners reviews applicants for licensure and issues a license to those who meet the requirements to be a psychologist in the State of Colorado.

The Board licensed social workers in Colorado and conducts hearings concerning complaints against licensed social workers.

The board aids and advises the securities commissioner in the promulgation of rules, issuance of orders, formulation of policies, the setting of fees and with other issues affecting the division of securities and securities regulation in the state.

Statewide Internet Portal Authority
The Statewide Internet Portal Authority develops the officially recognized statewide internet portal that provides one-stop access to electronic information, products, and services in order to give members of the public an alternative way to transact business with the state.

Stroke Advisory Board
The Stroke Advisory Board evaluates potential strategies for stroke prevention and treatment, and develops statewide needs assessments identifying relevant resources to improve quality of care for stroke patients. Each January 1, the Board submits a report specifying its findings and recommendations to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the corresponding committees in the State House and State Senate.

Utility Consumers’ Board
The duties and responsibilities of the Utilities Consumer Council is to provide guidance on policy matters and annually evaluate the performance of the Office of Consumer Council. The OCC’s charter is to advocate on behalf of residential, small business, and agricultural consumers in energy matters before the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and other courts.

Urban Drainage and Flood Control District Board of Directors
The Urban Drainage and Flood Control Districts Board of Directors assists local governments in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of multi-jurisdictional drainage and flood control projects.
