From: South Dakota Governor Larry RhodenPIERRE, S.D. – Governor Larry Rhoden will wrap up week two of his Open for Opportunity tour by visiting Box Elder.
Governor Rhoden will make several stops to honor our men in women in uniform, including visiting Ellsworth Airforce Base. He will then visit Douglas School District’s Vandenberg Elementary School, where he will sign SB 6 and proclaim April as the “Month of the Military Child.” The bill signing will take place at 10:45 am MT on Friday, March 28, 2025, and media are encouraged to attend. Media are also invited to a tour of VRC Metal Systems following the signing ceremony.
Governor Rhoden will also visit the South Dakota National Guard Army Aviation Center, where he will sign an executive order to support wildland fire efforts and take a flight in a Black Hawk Helicopter. He and Lt. Governor Rhoden will interview with Dakota Town Hall’s Murdoc Jurgensen and Jake Schoenbeck to recap the day.
