PIERRE, S.D. – On April 10, 2025, Governor Larry Rhoden will visit Yankton and Vermillion on his Open for Opportunity tour.

Governor Rhoden will emphasize the importance of keeping South Dakotans strong and safe by touring the Human Services Center, which is a licensed specialty hospital and South Dakota’s only publicly funded psychiatric hospital. He will also visit Manitou Equipment and Masaba, Inc., both of which produce key equipment and machinery to support our state’s thriving ag industry.

Governor Rhoden will end his day at the University of South Dakota (USD), where he will meet with students and faculty members to learn about USD’s efforts to provide students with opportunities through experiential learning. He will also attend the Vermillion Chamber & Development Company Annual Banquet to highlight Vermillion’s economic development accomplishments.
