From: Oregon Governor Tina KotekOn Feb 26th, Governor Tina Kotek issued a statement in response to the March revenue forecast:
“Oregon must remain focused on core programs and act strategically on issues that make a real difference in peoples’ lives. Oregon’s economy continues to be stable, and now is not the time to get distracted. We must lean in on what we see working when it comes to housing and homelessness, mental health and addiction and education.
“Furthermore, Oregonians’ federal tax dollars must come back to the state for programs that we rely on and pay for. Those dollars cannot be taken away without an act of Congress. Federal uncertainty and tariffs present new potential challenges for our state, and we must continue to run their full impact to ground while staying the course meeting the needs of our state.”
