From: New Jersey Governor Phil MurphyTRENTON – Governor Murphy today lifted the State of Emergency declared through Executive Order No. 387 on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 in response to the Jones Road Wildfire in Ocean County, following 100% containment of the 15,300-acre fire near Lacey, Ocean, and Barnegat Townships by the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.
With the signing of Executive Order No. 388, the State of Emergency will be terminated in Ocean County effective at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
