DENVER - On December 6, 2024, Governor Polis issued an Executive Order to memorialize his verbal declaration of disaster emergency due to extreme winter weather conditions throughout Colorado in early November. The declaration enabled State agencies to coordinate response, consequence management, hazard mitigation, and recovery efforts. The Executive Order also memorializes the Governors verbal declaration to deploy unarmed Colorado National Guard members for the purpose of responding to and providing support during the extreme winter weather in Colorado.
