TALLAHASSEE, FL - On December 13 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Nick Burgess, Wayne Mayo, and Steve Richmond and the reappointment of Donald Cesarone, Jonathan Cook, Fred Kobie, Rachelle Wood, and Brian Zettle to the Construction Industry Licensing Board. 

Nick Burgess
Burgess, of Zephyrhills, is the Executive Director for AdventHealth Pasco County Foundations. He currently serves as a member of the Greater East Pasco Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees and previously served as the Director of Operations for Bahrs Construction. Burgess earned his bachelor’s degree in criminology from the University of South Florida.

Wayne Mayo
Mayo, of Tallahassee, is the President and Founder of Southern Standard Construction, LLC. Active in his community, he is a current member and former Chair of the Association Building Contractors of Florida Board and was the recipient of the Eagle Award for projects from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida in 2023. Mayo attended the University of Texas at Arlington.

Steve Richmond
Richmond, of Naples, is the Founder of Projetech, Inc. He is the author of Working SMART and is a member of the Forbes Technology Council. Richmond earned his associate degree from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. 

Donald Cesarone
Cesarone, of Lake Worth, is the Chief Executive Officer of Lucas Lagoons Construction, LLC. He was inducted into the Florida Swimming Pool Association Hall of Fame in 2024 and was the recipient of the 2023 Best in Show Award from the Florida Swimming Pool Association. Cesarone attended Broward College and North Texas State University. 

Jonathan Cook
Cook, of Chipley, is the Vice President of CINCH Underground, Inc. Active in his community, he is a Deacon of First Baptist Church in Chipley and is a former State Trooper for the Florida Highway Patrol. Cook earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Thomas University. 

Fred Kobie
Kobie, of LaBelle, is the President of Kobie Kooling, Inc. and Kobie Inspection Services. He is the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of LaBelle. Kobie earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Kennedy Western University.

Rachelle Wood
Wood, of Jupiter, is the President and Contractor for Dolphin Sheet Metal, Inc. Active in her community, she is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and the Palm Beach County Air Conditioning Contractors. Wood earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. 

Brian Zettle
Zettle, of Tallahassee, is a Partner and Consultant at Boyette Zettle, LLC. He previously served as a member of the Tallahassee State College Construction Advisory Committee, the Leadership Tallahassee Board of Governors, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida. Zettle earned his bachelor’s degree in building construction from the University of North Florida.
