From: Florida Governor Ron DeSantisTALLAHASSEE, FL - On December 6 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Brock Shrader and the reappointment of James Gonzalez, John Pistorino, Denise Ramsey, and Pankaj “P.J.” Shah to the Board of Professional Engineers.
Brock Shrader
Shrader, of Orlando, is the President of Wilson & Girgenti, P.A. He is the recipient of the 2022 and the 2023 Best Companies to Work For from Florida Trend. Shrader earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his juris doctor from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
James Gonzalez
Gonzalez, of Jacksonville, is a Co-Founder at Cobb & Gonzalez, P.A. In 2015, he was commissioned as a reservist in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Active in his community, he currently serves as the Licensing Co-Chair of the Florida Bar’s Real Property and Construction Law Section and was recognized as a 2023 Florida Super Lawyer by the Jacksonville Business Journal. Gonzalez earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Florida and his master’s degree and juris doctor from Villanova University.
John Pistorino
Pistorino, of Pinecrest, is the President of Pistorino & Alam Consulting Engineers, Inc. Active in his community, he serves as a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Concrete Institute, the Florida Structural Engineers Association, and the Florida Engineering Society. Pistorino earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida and his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Miami.
Denise Ramsey
Ramsey, of Jacksonville, is the Vice President and Chief Engineer for Haskell Architects & Engineers. She previously served as the Chair of the Design-Build Institute of America and currently serves as a member of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Ramsey earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida and her master’s degree in business administration from Jacksonville University.
Pankaj “P.J.” Shah
Shah, of Clearwater, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cumbey & Fair, Inc. Active in his community, he is a member of the Florida Engineering Society and the Countryside Rotary Club. Shah earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Baroda and his master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
