TALLAHASSEE, FL - On February 21, 2025, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Cathy Chapman and Michael Kennedy to the Florida Inland Navigation District.

Cathy Chapman
Chapman is the General Manager at Fernandina Harbor Marina managed by Oasis Marinas, LLC. Previously, she served as an Assistant Project Manager for the City of Fernandina Beach and an Accounts Manager for Westrec Marina Management. Active in her community, Chapman is the Staff Liaison for the City of Fernandina Beach Marina Advisory Board. 

Michael Kennedy
Kennedy is currently retired and previously served as an Attorney and President of Michael J. Kennedy, P.A. and General Counsel for Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. Active in his community, he is a member of the Coastal Conservation Association Board of Directors and the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County Board of Directors. Kennedy earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and his juris doctor from the University of Miami.   

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
