From: Oklahoma Governor J Kevin StittOn Monday, March 03, 2025, Governor Kevin Stitt applauded the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after they intercepted 2.2 pounds of fentanyl during a traffic stop in Tulsa County. The individual apprehended was found to be in the country illegally.
“Four years of the Biden-Harris immigration policy empowered drug cartels to traffic lethal amounts of fentanyl into our country. That reign of terror is over,” said Governor Stitt. “The diligence of these OHP troopers led to the seizure of enough fentanyl to kill half a million Oklahomans. The troopers arrested this individual, who later was found to be in the country illegally. He will be prosecuted, and under Operation Guardian, will be deported.”
The individual in question, Alfredo Sandoval was found to be in the country illegally and intelligence suggests he has ties to a Mexican cartel. OHP arrested Sandoval and booked him into Tulsa County jail on multiple charges, including aggravated drug trafficking.
“This is the very point of Operation Guardian.” said Commissioner Tipton. “This simple traffic stop reflects that there are members of Mexican cartels and foreign terrorist organizations operating within our communities. Tragically, the Biden-Harris Administration’s open-border policies have left us all vulnerable to these daily occurrences. Governor Stitt has charged me with ensuring Oklahoma will not be a sanctuary for these criminal illegal aliens.”
