Governor Stitt Visits Japan, Touts Business-Friendly Oklahoma

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt visited Japan on an energy and manufacturing focused trade mission. There, he met with multiple business leaders in the critical mineral and manufacturing industries, spoke with top Japanese business leaders, and met with the U.S. Ambassador to Japan, Rahm Emmanuel.

“Oklahoma is the most business friendly state in the nation, and companies from all over the world are taking notice,” said Gov. Stitt. “Our unbeatable energy advantage, central location and pro-business policies make Oklahoma the perfect place for manufacturing and technology businesses to set up shop. We had many fruitful conversations while in Japan, and I’m looking forward to hosting new businesses in Oklahoma soon.”

Governor Stitt is on a trade mission in Asia where he is scheduled to visit Taiwan, South Korea and Japan. During his visit to Japan, he visited with a variety of manufacturing and technology companies interested in bringing investment and jobs to Oklahoma. Governor Stitt highlighted Oklahoma’s energy advantage and business friendly environment in discussions with top Japanese officials.

He also spoke to Keidanren, a collective of top Japanese companies, many of whom expressed interest in further conversations about investment in Oklahoma.
