From: Oklahoma Governor J Kevin StittOklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt visited South Korea on an energy and manufacturing focused trade mission. He met with Korean officials, business leaders in the energy and manufacturing sectors and the U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, Phillip Goldberg.
“I’ve visited with ambassadors from nearly 70 countries, and they all express the same concern. They need affordable, reliable energy. Oklahoma is perfectly positioned to provide them with that,” said Gov. Stitt. “As the need for critical minerals grows, it’s more important than ever that we secure that supply chain. Oklahoma is quickly becoming the critical minerals headquarters in the United States and I’m proud we have the business and regulatory environment to make that possible. I’m excited to keep nurturing the relationships built in South Korea and I welcome these business leaders to come visit Oklahoma soon.”
Governor Stitt is on a trade mission in Asia where he is scheduled to visit Taiwan, South Korea and Japan. During his visit to South Korea, he visited with critical mineral and manufacturing companies interested in bringing investment and jobs to Oklahoma. Governor Stitt highlighted Oklahoma’s energy advantage and business-friendly environment.
While on his visit to South Korea, Governor Stitt took time to honor the 601 Oklahomans who died while fighting in the Korean War by laying a wreath at the War Memorial of Korea.
