PAUL, MN - Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan today announced the following appointments to the Clean Water Council; Governor’s Council on Age-Friendly Minnesota; Governor’s Workforce Development Board; and the Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing.

About the Clean Water Council: 
The Clean Water Council advises on the administration and implementation of the Clean Water Legacy Act. The council is required to submit a biannual report to the legislature and Governor that includes recommendations for Clean Water Fund appropriations, and an evaluation of progress made by the Clean Water Fund.

It also reviews statewide policies and programs, provides recommendations on actions to improve the workforce development system and programs, and develops strategies to remove barriers to those programs, among other duties.
