ST. PAUL, MN - Governor Tim Walz has ordered all United States and Minnesota flags to fly at half-staff at all state buildings in the State of Minnesota from sunrise on Monday, December 30, until sunset on January 29, 2025, to honor the life and legacy of former President Jimmy Carter.

“President Carter defined what it means to be a servant leader. He fought for our democracy, our climate, humanity, and civil rights around the world,” said Governor Walz. “We can find peace today knowing that he is reunited with the love of his life, Rosalynn.”

Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are also encouraged to join in lowering their flags.
