Gaithersburg, MD -- The Gaithersburg Parks, Arts and Recreation Corporation (G-PARC) Arts & Culture Alliance, in conjunction with the City of Gaithersburg Stormwater Management and Cultural Events and Services Divisions, announces the winners and honorable mentions of the 2023 Storm Drain Art Contest. A total of 46 entries were received. The winners and honorable mentions were selected based on their interpretation of the contest theme – bringing attention to the importance of protecting the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Phase 2 designs will be painted in Walder Park in the fall. Winners and their families and friends will paint the storm drains. The public is also invited to volunteer to help with the paint out.
