Krewe de Yak will be kicking off the Carnival season in the florida panhandle with our 11th Annual Gras Fest in DeFuniak Springs. This event is always filled with food, crafts, curiosities, and classic cars. Do some shopping and fill your bellies with about 50 Mardi Gras inspired vendors from 9-4, including 30a Distilling selling their spirits. Visit the unique cars at what is quickly becoming one of this area's largest car shows, held in front of the Heritage Museum, from 10-1:45, with winners being announced at 2. The highlight of the day is our annual Mardi Gras parade at 3 pm, with floats from all over the area. Afterward, the fun continues with the Panhandle's BEST after-party at 4C BBQ, with Salt Rock revival band, buffet, menu items, full bar and drink specials. 4C BBQ will open to the krewes at 4:30 pm and the public at 5 pm.
