Pick up a kit that includes the featured spice, information, and recipes; available while supplies last. Experiment in the kitchen and bring a creation that incorporates the spice to our Meet & Eat. All ages welcome!
Family Grab & Go: Umbrellas
Pick Up: MON., APR. 3
Grab: Pick up a paper umbrella during regular Library hours, while supplies last.
Go: Bring your umbrella home and decorate it using your own supplies and talent. Be creative! One umbrella maker will win a Library swag bag.
Return your completed umbrella by April 17. The umbrellas will be on display through the month.
You Can: The Basics of Home Canning
WED., APR. 12, 6 PM
Learn about food preservation safety and equipment, the difference between water bath and pressure canning, as well as where to find resources and recipes. This class is purely informational; no canning will be done on-site.
Fourteenth Annual Edible Book Festival
SUN., APR. 2, 1:30 PM AT THE GROTON PUBLIC LIBRARY
Foodies and readers alike are invited to view edible, book-related creations at this family event. Sponsored by the Friends groups of the Bill Memorial, Mystic & Noank, and Groton Public Libraries.

Earth Day Expo: Invest in Our Planet

This family-friendly event will feature over 40 exhibitors, crafters, food vendors, and guest speakers sharing resources and information on sustainable initiatives, green living, climate awareness, and more! Join us for a fun-filled day of caring for our planet. This event will be held rain or shine.
Don't Judge a Library by Its Building (VIRTUAL)
WED., APR. 26, 6 PM ON ZOOM
This virtual program will explore the good, the bad and the amazingly innovative in library architecture, with a focus on the last century.
Hosted by the Waterford Public Library & co-sponsored by the Groton Public, Mystic & Noank, and Otis Libraries.
Library Clean Up Day

In celebration of Earth Day, help us tidy up the grounds by picking up litter and recyclables. Please meet at the library entrance; bags will be provided, but bring your own work gloves. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be cancelled.
