Notes for Notes – Guilford County Schools (GCS) will host an open house for its state-of-the-art music studio. The district partnered with the nonprofit Notes for Notes to create the organization’s first recording studio in a public school in the United States. The studio provides opportunities for students to record their own music and learn skills that can prepare them for futures in the entertainment industry. The space is free and serves as a model for the future of arts education in a public school system. The event is from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Penn Griffin School for the Arts

Connection Matters – Guilford Parent Academy will host a virtual workshop to help families stay connected with their student’s academics. The session will teach families how to access their PowerSchool Parent Portal account to look at their student’s grades, attendance and teacher's messages. The portal also allows families to connect with their students and their student’s teacher. The session is from noon to 1:00 p.m. Families can register on the Guilford Parent Academy website by using the Calendar of Events tab.

Florence Fun Run – Florence Elementary will host an exciting event to raise money for its school. The school’s annual fun run kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 11:00 a.m.

Friday, September 29

 - Fulbright Presentation - Middle College at UNCG staff who participated in the summer Morocco professional development as Fulbright scholars will share their experience, lessons learned and plans for the application of their knowledge with students, parents, and the broader UNCG community at the EUC on the campus of UNCG from 9:30–11:00 a.m.

Immunizations – September 29 is the last day for 7th and 12th grade students to submit proof of Tdap and MCV immunizations. The Guilford County Health Department will host clinics at its High Point and Greensboro locations on:

 - Monday, September 25th from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
 - Tuesday, September 26th from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
 - Wednesday, September 27th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
 - Thursday, September 28th from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
 - Friday, September 29th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
