Saturday, October 28, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Downtown Library
Join us for Hayward Promise Neighborhoods' Promise Fest at the library's 3rd annual trunk or Treat! We'll be in the Hayward Heritage Plaza across the street from the Downtown Library. Kids of all ages can come to enjoy hours of free fun:
- Trick-or-treating
- Free meals
- Free activities
- Live music
- Games & family fun
- Cultural arts performances
- Car show
- Art walk
- Face painting
Costumes are encouraged!

Homework Support Centers
Various days and locations
Kids in grades K-12 can get FREE homework help in a safe, welcoming environment! Volunteer tutors assist students with all homework needs in small groups. There are Homework Support Centers at the Downtown Library and Weekes Branch as well as some HUSD campuses.

All teens are welcome to take some time on the first Monday of every month to set up their journal or planner for the month! Whether you have a bullet journal, a junk journal, or just a homework planner, you're welcome to come in to this drop-in event.

What's TAG? A group of teens that meets once a month to give feedback about the library and plan library events! TAG participants get to have a say in what the library offers for teens and gain leadership experience that looks great on college & job applications.

Got homework? We can help! If you can get to the library after school, you can get free in-person help at the Homework Support Center. If you can't make it to the library, though, never fear! We have tons of free online resources, including databases for research and live help at tutor.com. All you need is a Hayward library card.
