Engaging the Kids in Upper and Lower Bucks

Lower Bucks: After-School Programs in Bristol Township
Your support feeds youth programs and education in Lower Bucks 

Heritage Conservancy has expanded its after-school programs for elementary and middle school students in Bristol Township School District to serve all schools. The program this fall serves about 100 children in five schools with free environmental science activities structured to ignite their curiosity about nature.

Upper Bucks: Expanded Environmental Science in Quakertown Community School District
Your support expands school programs and land efforts in Upper Bucks 

For the 2025-26 school year, Heritage Conservancy is working with Quakertown Community School District to build fieldwork opportunities for its 9th grade environmental science curriculum. Plans include two environmental literacy teacher training sessions tailor-designed for the district, the creation of hands-on science programs for all freshmen in the district, and seed money for a new outdoor classroom. The grant-funded project is meant to leave a plan in place that instructors can execute on their own for years to come.

Connections to History

Protecting the Dickinson Farmstead in Plymouth Meeting

Your support protects local history and open space in Montgomery County

When the Blue Route was constructed, the Plymouth Meeting Historical Society fought to save the historic Dickinson Farmstead and won a change in plans that preserved this vital piece of local Quaker history. Now Heritage Conservancy is poised to take on the task of preserving it in its next chapter.

Massive Land Preservation Impact With Our Williams Township Partnership

Your support protects natural land and open space in Northampton County 

With the completion of pending projects, Williams Township in Northampton will have almost 20% of its land protected. The community has partnered with Heritage Conservancy and executed an ambitious open space plan over the last two decades. Including parks, county agriculture programs, and land under easement, the township has over 2136 acres of protected land.

Heritage Conservancy’s Members Celebrate Conservation Impact at Pollinator Picnic

Your support drives wildlife habitat restoration and open space in Central Bucks

Heritage Conservancy supporters gathered at our Russell-Mandell Preserve in September for a celebration of their impact. The Pollinator Picnic was a chance for Members to see their support in action, as they learned about the historic preservation and land stewardship that make this property special. They had the opportunity to chat with Heritage Conservancy staff and to explore the 5-acre pollinator meadow on guided tours.
