Kingman, AZ - The Mohave Substance Treatment Education & Prevention Partnership (MSTEPP) is thrilled to share that the well-loved Hobbies Not Habits event is making its debut in Kingman, Arizona. This complimentary community gathering is designed to offer young people and families, fun and engaging alternatives to substance use by encouraging healthy hobbies and activities.

“By promoting healthy hobbies and activities we can deter our youth from making life altering choices that negatively affect their lives,” said Bob DeVries, Project Director, MSTEPP. “We invite you to join us in making a positive difference in the lives of our youth. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier community.”

Scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the new Boys & Girls Club, located at 2160 Airway Ave., in Kingman. Attendees can expect exciting activities, workshops, games, giveaways, and helpful resources for children of all ages.

Hobbies Not Habits is a thriving program in Lake Havasu City, launched by the Young Adult Development Association of Havasu (YADAH). For nearly ten years, YADAH has been encouraging young people to make positive lifestyle choices. With the introduction of this event in Kingman and collaboration with local businesses, MSTEPP aims to create a positive influence, nurturing a supportive space for young people in Kingman to discover new interests and build healthy habits.
