Join Heidelberg’s School of Music & Theatre on Monday, January 15, for our 2024 Honor Festival, a day dedicated to excellence in the Performing Arts! The SMT Honor Festival provides an artistic complement to Heidelberg University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day ON!, a day of celebration, reflection and giving back to the community.

Raise your voice in song with our Honor Choir under the direction of Dr. Greg Ramsdell. Bring your instrument to join Professor Rod Miller in our Honor Band. Take the stage with our Honor Theatre Troupe, collaborating with Professor Karla Kash and Sue Hlavinka.

Share your artistic vision with our 2024 Call for New Works, empowering the next generation of composers and playwrights. The SMT Honor Festival provides an artistic complement to Heidelberg University’s MLK JR Day ON!, a day of celebration, reflection and giving back to the community.

In addition to Honor Festival rehearsals, students can participate in mock auditions, masterclasses with SMT faculty members, and student panels about pursuing music and theatre as a major or passion in college. The 2024 Honor Festival is open to all students. We welcome student applications and recommendations from music and theatre directors/educators.

Participation fee is $15 (Includes Lunch and Dinner)
