This revue of songs and vignettes, based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip, is the ideal first show for those who would like to do a musical. Musical numbers include My Blanket and Me, The Kite, The Baseball Game, Little Known Facts, Suppertime, and Happiness. A fabulous show for all ages.

Bon Appetit! Plus A Delicious Cabaret

Get ready for a feast of music and laughter in Bon Appé***!, a 20-minute comic opera by Lee Hoiby that serves up a deliciously witty tribute to the legendary Julia Child. This playful performance recreates two episodes of her iconic TV show, The French Chef, featuring her famous chocolate cake recipe, complete with Child’s signature humor and flair, yet portrayed by local voice legend, Regina Schlaff.
Blending drama, humor, and culinary artistry, the opera showcases Julia's words and gestures as she prepares the cake. The libretto, adapted by Mark Shulgasser, captures the essence of the beloved chef’s charm. Plus, the cabaret includes a mouthwatering mix of Broadway hits-adding a variety of musical flavors to this fun, flavorful performance with songs from a Youth Choir and professional lakeshore voices in songs such as: Be Our Guest, Food, Glorious Food!, Vanilla Ice Cream, I Can Cook Too, Happy To Keep His Dinner Warm, Worst Pies in London, Whatever Lola Wants, Les Poissons, Empty Tables at Empty Chairs, Drink with Me, Feed Me (Git It), It Couldn't Please Me More, Feed the Birds, The Ladies Who Lunch, What Baking Can Do, and Taylor The Latte Boy, before we bon voyage with Bon Appé***!

The musicians will share the classic tales of Peter and the Wolf, set to Prokofiev's music, and the magical adventure of The Sorcerer's Apprentice (music by Dukas), enhanced by evocative background illustrations. From being homeschooled in a religious cult to becoming the neighborhood clown-and now, a stay-at-home dad navigating the loss of his own father-Brandon’s life as a professional oversharer has been anything but ordinary. Blending sharp, heartfelt storytelling with video clips, slideshows, and just enough emotional damage to keep it funny, Cry for Help is a comedy about life, loss, parenting … and how grief, it turns out, is a lot like parenting: exhausting, disorienting, and everyone has an opinion about how you’re doing it wrong!

Packed with physical comedy, witty dialogue, and endless surprises, Noises Off! is a side-splitting celebration of everything that can-and will-go wrong in live theater. Starring Kimber King and other national names alongside local talent, with Atlanta, Georgia, based director, Joseph Quintana, this show closes out the Playhouse Summer Theatre Festival.
