From: Hudson Valley Shakespeare FestivalIt's almost time to welcome you back—for one final season under the tent!
Over the years, the tent has been home to countless magical theatre moments, and this summer will be no exception. We can't wait for you to meet this season's talented company and share one last unforgettable summer together—under the tent.
And while we prepare to say farewell to the tent, we’re already looking ahead with excitement—because in 2026, we open the doors to our spectacular new home, the Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center. The next act is going to be extraordinary. We've included a sneak peek at how the theater is progressing below.
We are only four weeks away for the first performance and preparations are well underway. This weekend, we raised a toast with friends, supporters and our 2025 company at our annual Meet the Artists event—thank you to everyone who attended!
If you haven't already done so, grab those tickets, book your picnic, and get ready for another summer under the stars!
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
HVS' 2025 Acting Company visiting the site of our new theater.
Construction of the Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center is on time and on budget! The black steel beam that frames the proscenium and the mass timber members attached are up, and the curved structure that will support the roof is now visible from Route 9!
OH, WHAT A NIGHT!
On Saturday, April 26, the rain stopped just in time for more than 270 people to walk in procession as part of the 4th Annual Highland Lights, 'Microcosmos'. Slambovian Circus of Dreams kicked off the evening with a buzzing sing-along that truly brought the spirit of the night to life! The crowd then took to the trails as giant glowing bees, butterflies, bugs, and more, that paid homage to the tiny, but mighty, insects and invertebrates that call the preserve their home illuminated the pathways through Hudson Highlands Land Trust's Humble Bee Hollow.
'Microcosmos' really made the forest come alive, and sparked a sense of wonder, joy, and connection to the incredible natural world around us.
The lanterns were created in over a month of public workshops led by Processional Arts Workshop and Hudson Valley Shakespeare, and carried by members of our wonderful community.
