ICYMI: DCCC Highlights Arizona as Critical in Winning the House Majority in 2026

Government and Politics

April 9, 2025

On April 8th, the DCCC announced House Democrats’ Districts in Play for the 2026 election cycle, which includes David Schweikert (AZ-01), Eli Crane (AZ-02), and Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06). The Arizona Democratic Party is focused on winning these critical seats, paving the way for a Democratic House majority in 2026; keeping AZ-07 blue; and electing Democrats all the way down the ballot.

“As the Trump-Musk Administration destroys the livelihood of so many Americans, Arizona Democrats are gearing up to fight and win every race up and down the ticket,” said Arizona Democratic Party Chairman Robert E. Branscomb, II. “Arizonans are tired of David Schweikert, Eli Crane, Juan Ciscomani and other MAGA-cronies playing politics with the issues that impact their ability to make ends meet. As a Party, we will stop at nothing to hold them accountable and to finally elect leaders who will move Arizona forward.”

The DCCC’s Districts-in-Play are competitive districts held by vulnerable Republicans across the country that will determine the House Majority.

Schweikert, Crane, and Ciscomani’s addition to the DCCC’s Districts in Play sends the clear message that Democrats will ensure Arizona voters know of these vulnerable Republicans’ continued embrace of Elon Musk’s extremism and their party’s dangerously far-right agenda that’s raising costs, destroying jobs, eroding Arizonans’ freedoms, and hurting our country’s future.

Additionally, the DCCC has launched nominee fund pages (AZ-01AZ-02AZ-06) providing grassroots donors the ability to contribute now to the eventual Democratic nominees in these Districts in Play.
