Thanks to the support of the community, Insurance Services of Washington has officially awarded a $10,000 donation to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the development of new treatments and ultimately a cure for pulmonary fibrosis.
The $10,000 donation will allow PFF to further its mission and support those impacted by pulmonary fibrosis by researching new treatments and medicine and advocating for local and national legislation to make it easier to access supplemental oxygen, which many patients rely on in their daily lives.
Initially, Insurance Services of Washington received a $5,000 donation for PFF through the 2025 Make More Happen™ Awards by Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance®. A story showcasing the partnership was featured on the official Make More Happen microsite, where community members had the chance to vote and leave comments. Upon reaching the goal of 500 votes and comments, the donation was doubled to $10,000.
“Recognizing independent agents’ dedication to their communities and nonprofit partners is what the Make More Happen Awards are all about,” said Kelly Lynch, Safeco Senior Territory Manager. “Insurance Services of Washington is an outstanding example of how agencies can make a real difference, and we hope sharing their story inspires others to give back as well.”
Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent insurance agencies nationwide for a 2025 Make More Happen Award, contributing up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support.
