Des Moines - Brenna Bird has wasted her time as Attorney General joining more than a dozen multi-state lawsuits every year she’s been in office just to impress the Trump Administration, all while ignoring the needs of Iowans.

In the last four years, Brenna Bird has:

• Halted emergency contraception and abortion care for rape victims.
• She supported a lawsuit to end Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, which ensures disabled students are treated equally to other students.
• She traveled to Manhattan to stand behind Trump and show her support during his hush money trial.

“Brenna Bird failed Iowans and put partisanship over people. She opposed legislation that protects disabled students and she halted rape victims’ ability to access contraception. While her policies failed Iowans, she spent plenty of time joining multi-state lawsuits just to impress the Trump administration and Bird even flew to New York City to support him during one of his trials,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart. “It’s time to elect an attorney general who pays more attention to the needs of Iowans and less time flitting around spending tax dollars to impress Donald Trump.”
