Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance have awarded Jason Ridley Agency a 2025 Make More Happen Award for its volunteerism with Serving Our Seniors (SOS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the independence and well-being of senior citizens in Northeast Tarrant County. The award includes an initial $5,000 donation, which can be doubled to $10,000 with community support through an online vote.
The Jason Ridley Agency and (SOS) Serving Our Seniors community story is highlighted on the official Make More Happen microsite at https://www.agentgiving.com/jason-ridley-agency/, where supporters can vote to help the team reach their donation goal. If the featured story receives a combination of at least 500 votes and comments, the donation will increase to $10,000. The $10,000 donation will help expand senior transportation services, maintain landscaping equipment for their Adopt-A-Lawn program, and support volunteers who provide hands-on assistance.
The Jason Ridley Agency takes its commitment to the local community seriously, and that dedication shines through in its partnership with Serving Our Seniors. SOS provides crucial support to individuals aged 65+ and those 60+ with disabilities. SOS’ mission to help preserve the independence and well-being of their senior neighbors in Northeast Tarrant County is achieved through three programs–Transportation, Helping Hands and Social Outreach. The organization provides minor home repairs, inside and out, builds wheelchair ramps, installs grab bars and handrails, and assists with lawn maintenance during the growing season. SOS also provides transportation to medical appointments and “quality-of-life" drives, in addition to providing social outreach services including themed events and holiday outreach to break the isolation and loneliness that seniors often feel–all at no cost to seniors.
“Helping to make our community a better place has always been important to our team and Serving Our Seniors has given us a way to make a real difference,” said Jason Ridley, agency owner. “We are grateful to Liberty Mutual and Safeco for providing much-needed funds to continue their impactful work and thrilled at the opportunity to double the donation just by calling on the community to show their support.”
Jason serves on the Board of Directors for SOS, and alongside his team, has made a three-year commitment to donate at least $500 annually as Friends of SOS. The agency has also served as the title sponsor of SOS’s annual golf tournament for three years and contributes cash donations and raffle items to their annual fundraiser. Beyond financial contributions, Jason and his team embrace hands-on volunteerism. In December, Jason fully embodied the holiday spirit by portraying Santa at SOS’s festive senior social, bringing joy to attendees as they posed for photos and shared their wish lists.
“Recognizing independent agents’ dedication to their communities and nonprofit partners is what the Make More Happen Awards are all about,” said Gary Trammell, Safeco Insurance Senior Territory Manager. “Jason Ridley Agency is an outstanding example of how agencies can make a real difference, and we hope sharing their story inspires others to give back as well.”
Throughout 2025, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications showcasing their commitment to a specific cause.
