Sledgehammer Beach Run

Take in the views and explore North Topsail Beach while running on the beach in either our Half Marathon, 10k or 5k.

Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission is proud to present the "Sledgehammer Race Series" in memory of Dr. E. B. Sledge. The mission statement of the "Sledgehammer Race Series" is: To Honor the memory of Sledgehammer and All Combat Veterans." Sledge was a lifelong Marine who spent the remainder of his post war years coming to terms with what he and his fellow combatants experienced during World War II.

Enjoy free beer from Salty Turtle Beer Company (Half & 10k runners only) at the finish line.

Onslow County Tourism will be setting up a hot cocoa bar for the finishers.

Ainsley's Angels Run With Your Heart
5K/10K/15K/Virtual

Entering its 10th year, the Run With Your Heart 5K/10K/15K/Virtual is a major fundraiser for Ainsley's Angels in Eastern Carolina and Ainsley's Angels in America. This race brings both the local community and the entire nation together to promote the message of inclusion. Together, we shall accomplish so much more than we ever could alone!

COURSE ROUTE Featuring a flat and fast course, it's a small-town race with a marathon style feel. The 5K Run/Walk/Roll is a welcoming course to athletes of all abilities. The route will begin and end at the beautiful Riverwalk Crossing Park located at 421 Court St and takes you through historic downtown Jacksonville, North Carolina!

Triathlon, Duathlon & 5k

Join us for the 6th Annual New River Splash Triathlon, Duathlon & 5k presented by Moore Buick GMC! Located in Jacksonville, NC, home of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River. The race starts and ends in downtown Jacksonville. The swim portion is in the New River, cycling through MCB Camp Lejeune and run through downtown Jacksonville. This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon so if you don't have a membership please select a one-day pass during the registration process.

This event will be the North Carolina USA Triathlon State Championship event!
