Springfield, Ore. (Dec. 18, 2023) –COUNTRY Financial representatives Anthony Kennedy and Dustin Sain selected Kalapuya High School as a recipient of a COUNTRY Financial Operation Helping Heroes award. Through the Operation Helping Heroes program, COUNTRY Financial representatives identify heroes in their communities and do something personally to give back.
In November, COUNTRY Financial representatives Jentel Washington and Nicole Kensler shopped and stocked the Kalapuya High School food pantry with Thanksgiving food boxes for families in need.
“The teachers at Kalapuya High School go above and beyond when it comes to contributing to our community and supporting students,” said Jentel. “We wanted to give back in some way and show our appreciation. The food pantry is such a critical service and we were more than happy to support the school and families by contributing, especially this time of year.”
COUNTRY Financial has donated more than $5 million since 2020 to organizations and programs that support teachers, first responders, active-duty service members and veterans, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.” The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active-duty service members, veterans and their families. Later, the program expanded to include first responders and teachers.
