Kern County, CA - Kern County Library is once again inviting the community to take part in its annual Thank-A-Vet Art Card Project, running now through November 1, 2025. This meaningful initiative encourages residents of all ages to create handmade cards and messages of appreciation for local Veterans, honoring their service and sacrifice.

Participants can stop by any Kern County Library branch during regular hours to design their own thank-you cards. All materials-including paper, pens, markers, and art supplies-are provided. Whether it’s a simple note, a drawing, or a patriotic design, each card serves as a personal token of gratitude to those who have served our country.

All completed cards will be distributed to Veterans throughout Kern County, sharing heartfelt messages of thanks from the community.

Join the Library in celebrating our local heroes and showing appreciation in a creative, uplifting way.
