Artists First curated by the UW Department of Museology
Join us at KAC as the UW Department of Museology presents their senior thesis exhibition, Artists First, in the Mezzanine Gallery.
Artists First brings to us the handmade creations of digital artists and animators, reminding us of the importance of a human hand when developing games and other digital artforms. As AI continues to increasingly threaten jobs in this field, now more than ever it is important to put Artists First to keep creativity alive.
Artists First runs March 28-April 25, with an opening reception Friday, March 28 from 6-9 pm.

Wrapped in a Dream On exhibit through April 11
The Gallery is pleased to announce our next upcoming exhibition--Wrapped in a Dream, paintings by Valerie Washington. Using a combination of bright colors and exquisite lines and shapes, the exhibition pairs Valerie's strong, unapologetic women with images of crystals and abstracts, creating narrative attributes that bring a triumphant atmosphere that carries throughout the show.

Rewilding: A Return to Simpler Natures
We all feel how our lives seem to be outpacing us, growing ever more complicated. Rewilding is a journey back to our primal ancestors for some lessons in simplicity. Each piece is a conversation with an animal, a teacher of its way of the world. It’s a call to relearn forgotten wisdom – to Rewild.
Aziza Saliev
In “Reflections of Nature,” Aziza Saliev shares whimsical paintings about nature and the challenges we face today. She will also display landscape paintings that reflect the beauty of the natural world. Each piece will invite viewers to connect, reflect, and find a sense of calm
