The housing crisis is one the Bay Area's most contentious and ongoing issues of great concern. What is the League’s position? How can we educate the public about what we can do to address the problem? Wanting to keep up with the new year spirit, Adena Ishii, a League of Women Voters of California Board Member, introduced an icebreaker game involving the attendees’ Chinese Zodiac Animals. Each of the interns and members shared a little bit about themselves while sharing their signs, comparing their attributes and characteristics to those of the animals from the year they were born. Read more!

The League of Women Voters of California’s Criminal Justice Interest Group held “Community Conversations with California State Attorney General Rob Bonta” Tuesday, March 7th. Attorney General Robert Bonta, as top lawyer and law enforcement official in the California Department of Justice, oversees 6000 lawyers, 500 sworn police officers, plus criminal investigators.  He must uphold the People of California’s civil rights, constitutional rights...Learn more!
