On Feb 14th, legislation guaranteeing the right to birth control that Winsome Earle-Sears “couldn’t resist” voting against passed the House of Delegates. The bill now heads to the Governor’s desk.

“Virginians aren’t going to forget Winsome Earle-Sears’ tie-breaking no vote and her extreme attempts to roll back rights and attack health care. The Commonwealth deserves a governor who will fight for them instead of Sears whose only focus is her extreme and out-of-touch agenda,” said DPVA Spokesperson Maggie Amjad.

Sears has a long record of attacking health care and declared she is “standing shoulder to shoulder” in the fight against IVF with a right-wing organization that published a blog post comparing IVF to “child trafficking” and calling parents who use IVF to grow their families “selfish.”
