Spring Class Registration Opened This Week; New Options Available

Registration for spring classes started this week! Kirksey Recreation Center members got a head start Monday before Livonia residents were able to register today, April 4, and non-residents can start Thursday, April 6. If you're looking for your favorite group fitness class or want your child to take swim lessons, now is the time to register before classes fill up.

We have new Yoga, Barre Workout, Vinyasa Blend Yoga and Cycle classes coming this spring. Try out cycling with two FREE demo classes 8:30 a.m. Saturdays, April 15 and 22, in The Rec's Aerobics Studio.

If you're not sure what swim level your child should be in, we offer free swim lessons noon-12:30 p.m. every Saturday, or by appointment. Contact Becky to coordinate.

Camp Swoosh Registration Begins April 10

Summer Camp is just around the corner and Camp Swoosh registration begins 6 a.m. Monday, April 10, for Kirksey Recreation Center members, April 11 for Livonia residents and April 13 for non-residents.

It will sell out quickly, so act fast if you want your child (ages 5-12) to enjoy the camp that runs 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily Mondays-Fridays, June 19-Aug. 25 (excluding July 4). You need to register for each week. Visit Livonia.gov/1451 via LivoniaParks.org for more information.

Easter Weekend Hours

The Greenmead Historical Park offices and Civic Park Senior Center will be closedFriday, April 7.

The Kirksey Recreation Center will be closed Sunday, April 9. It will be open regular hours Friday-Saturday, April 7-8.
