Family Food Truck Rally Back Saturday With More Trucks Than Ever

Our third-annual Family Food Truck Rally returns to the east lawn of the Kirksey Recreation Center from 4-8 p.m. this Saturday, July 22. A variety of food trucks will be on-site for this all-ages event, as well as a live DJ, interactive games, performers, bounce houses (including one with a water slide), arts and crafts, face painting and more!

The inflatables and arts/crafts are FREE, but food and other activities have a fee. No pre-registration required. Food trucks are subject to change, but our expected attendees include Tacos la Reina, Detroit Original Seafood, All City Dogs, House of Mac, Frios Gourmet Pops, Delectabowl and Rainys Ice Cream.

S'mores, Stories and Beach Days Make for a Summer Blast Friday

Everyone loves a good bonfire! Get a feel for the camping life with our monthly S'mores and Stories event 7-8 p.m. Friday, July 21, at Greenmead Historical Park's Newburg School Field.

Geared toward children ages 5-12, all children must register and be accompanied by an adult (parents don't need to register) as we enjoy roasting s'mores, telling stories and enjoying a variety of activities around the campfire. This month's theme is beach days!

Get Hands On With Livonia's History

Learn some Hands On History of the 19th century from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Greenmead Historical Park. Participants ages 9-12 will take part in a wide range of activities, such as cooking, games, farm skills and more! Learn how they lived back in the 19th century!

Advance registration required, starting July 25. Cost is $35 per Livonia resident and $40 per non-resident.
