The Search for Lifeguards Continues as Outdoor Pools Open June 17
Water safety is very important to us. Improved water safety at our pools means we’re still looking to hire more lifeguards! If you know someone ages 15+ who is interested, please email [email protected] for a sweet summer job.
Unfortunately, due to the current lack of lifeguards, we've had to make some adjustments as we prepare for all three outdoor pool facilities to open Saturday, June 17. Visit Livonia.gov/222 via LivoniaParks.org for details on tweaks to indoor and outdoor pool hours and operations this summer.
Senior Center Celebrating Father Figures June 16
Join the Civic Park Senior Center for a Father’s Day Luncheon 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 16, as we celebrate all of the fathers and father figures. Games, giveaways, raffles and a lunch of coney dogs, potato salad, Fritos, beverages and dessert will be included.
Women are allowed to register and accompany their partners. Register here before it fills up!

Children Must Be Accompanied by Caretakers at The Rec
With the school year wrapping up, the Kirksey Recreation Center is a great place for the kids to burn off some energy in the pool, gym or Tree Fort, but dropping off children to the Kirksey Recreation Center is strictly prohibited. A quick reminder that members ages 11 and younger (non-members 13 and younger) MUST be accompanied by a caretaker age 16 and older at all times.
In the aquatics areas, non-swimmers must have a parent/guardian within arm’s reach at all times.
Teens ages 13-15 may use the Fitness Hub equipment with direct supervision or may complete the Teens in Training course to use on their own. Children 12 and younger are not permitted to use the FitHub at any time.
